Watching videos has been a common activity in VRChat for many players, including those who are used to staying in public instances. After discussing with VRChat players around me, we found ourselves confused by the sudden ban on untrusted URLs, even when it is allowed in the setting menu. You may not be aware that video links from video websites like Bilibili (which is the most watched video platform in our country) cannot be directly resolved by the built-in video player, and watching videos there requires manually resolving it with external websites and resulting in an untrusted URL. I understand that custom whitelist and no bans on private instances is a workaround for this problem, however: we don't expect world creators from worldwide to build a comprehensive list of URLs for this purpose, especially when they are not bothered by the ban themselves. we can move to private instances, but public instances are still a very important platform for free communication and in some sense a core experience in this game. For the above reasons, I hope you can reconsider the ban on the untrusted URLs in public instances, for example, rollback the change, or get a more fine-grained option to allow those URLs in all instances. Otherwise, I hope to hear from you about a real solid reason for the ban, being more specific on the vulnerabilities playing those videos may trigger. Removing useful functions should not be the primary option for security reasons. I write this post in hope that getting more discussion on this matter will come up with better solution to it so that more users are satisfied. Thank you for your understanding. The radial menu is already incredibly bloated and frustrating to navigate. Adding an additional menu just conflates the issue more. However, stickers are much like Emojis and should be part of the Emojis section of the menu. At best its an advertisement for people to get VRC+ on the radial menu. However, its an annoying advertisement as well. It would still have the same advertising effect under emojis, because when you are using an emoji you are at least looking to share something.

This would be usefull if as a world creator we dont want stikers on video players, mirrors or user posters and menus. But at the same time we dont want to prevent users to post stikers anywhere else.

When placing a sticker it would be great to be able to flip the sticker horizontally to "mirror" it instead of having to upload 2 variants of the same image. The same could go for vertical mirror although the user could just turn their controller.

Build 1546 changes the "allow untrusted URLs" setting to no longer allow all URLs on public and group public instances, and instead offers world creators the option to whitelist domains for those instance types. A preferred alternate solution would be to instead prompt users with a notification when an untrusted URL is being used, with the options to: Allow this time/this instance Whitelist URL (allow permanently until revoked) Blacklist URL This would provide users with the granularity to avoid malicious URLs without explicitly limiting the content that may be played in public/group public instances.

I regularly fly real FPV drones and also develop FPV drones using Udon. I was amazed by the drone camera functionality newly added to VRChat—it is exceptionally well-made, and I was particularly astonished to see that even ACRO mode was implemented. I feel this feature is powerful enough to attract FPV drone enthusiasts into VRChat. Given this, it would be natural for FPV drone pilots to want to use their own RC controllers. Therefore, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could enable drone operation via OSC input. I'll likely create a program myself to translate RC controller inputs into OSC signals. The drone system itself is already highly refined; the only shortcoming left is the input method. This would allow this data to also be retained if someone uploads a locally taken picture later as a print.

Hey VRChat Team, With the Open Beta now live, we can finally set Emoji and Sticker permissions when launching an instance—awesome feature! But there’s a bit of a problem. To preface this, I'm 50/50 on this one. I understand why the system is set up like this, it just seems strange to me that the current implementation of "instance settings" allows people to disrespect a world creator's wishes if the instance isn't public. If a world creator doesn't want people to stickerbomb their world or litter it with prints, then I can see why people would argue that that choice should always be respected. VRChat Photography is quite a popular hobby. While mipmap streaming offers significant performance increases, photographers used to dealing with extreme lag of several seconds taking 8K pictures are no stranger to this. Please allow us as the end-user to turn off mipmap streaming. We know it'll hurt performance impact, especially in full capacity instances. But we want to take pretty pictures with clean textures to share with our friends and on social media. You can supplement it with a pop-up or in-place warning that it's for intended advanced users and may cause significant performance impact, similar to the vertigo message for horizon adjust. Another approach could be to let us set a VRAM limit up to our actual VRAM limit or "unlimited" (with a warning).
