Creator Economy

It's extremely important to me as a creator to be able to provide the source files to my buyers, it allows them the freedom to do as they want with an avatar. The argument against this has been creators don't want to have to give support to users of the product, or the potential piracy of their avatars. However, there are a multitude of arguments against this. Firstly, the biggest is that it can simply be optional, if creators do not wish to provide source files they can simply not, and creators who do want to, like me, can. Secondly, the argument of the pressure of support feels very tone deaf. Either way creators will be pestered by support whether they provide files or not. The FAQ states we can provide source files, barring the issues with that we will be pestered for source files, especially when there are updates to the avatar. Currently right now I primarily sell on Jinxxy where buyers are able to get the source files. Personally, I have not had a single person contact for support except once when someone found an issue with the avatar that had to be fixed. (For reference, I've had around ~100 sales since posting my most recent avatar on all platforms I've sold on.) So this largely seems to only be an issue with either certain demographics of buyers, certain avatars that actively have issues, or maybe even creators providing way more support than they probably should be. Kind of a subjective conclusion but still. Largely, as it currently is. Not being able to provide source files alongside the uploaded avatar on the platform will be detrimental to creators such as myself who are perfectly fine with sharing source files, who will now have to handle support for buyers who may want the source files. I don't believe creators should be forced to share source files, but giving creators the option to do so is a perfectly reasonable expectation.

TL;DR Let creators make their public Avatars listed in the Avatar Marketplace for a price of 0V/. The Idea The new Avatar Marketplace feature is a great addition for creators who want to sell their Avatars. But what if a creator want to "sell" (but "share" would be a better word) for free? Let me explain: I'm an Avatar creator and I don't personally like the idea of "selling" an Avatar, I prefer sharing them to the community. I like the idea of having a menu where people can find, try, and select an Avatar within the VRChat menu, like this Avatar Marketplace. So the idea is simple, let an Avatar creator share Avatars for free, meaning it's not the idea of buying an Avatar, but rather ability to directly select it. Implementation One proposition is to add a new field in the Avatar dictionary. The key would be something like "listed", and the value could be a boolean (True/False). And the value would be False by default. It would only work on a "public" avatar, not a "private" avatar. If the value is True, then the Avatar will be listed in the Marketplace for a price of 0V/ . The buttons will be different, instead of "buying" the Avatar, you could just select it If the value is False (by default), it means that the only way to get this avatar, is like today, select if from an Avatar Pedestal (or from the API), and it will not being listed in the Avatar Marketplace Also, if this feature is being implemented inside the VRChat API, Avatar search worlds could continue existing, using now the official way to search for Avatars. Making this feature official, could prevent unwanted exterior Avatars information database to scrap and grab Avatar information, making them deprecated. History It's been years that players are looking for a way to get "public" Avatars from a sort of a search engine. Several solutions has been created over years, like public databases that store VRChat avatars information and where you can access with third party applications, or from an Avatar search world for example. VRChat did not implement an "Avatar Search" feature inside their menu for a reason: Avatars creator want players to came in their world, in order to get them from an official Avatar Pedestal. But let be honest, today, we have "Avatar Search Worlds", that are not always up to date, but they are one of the most visited worlds in VRChat, because people want to find Avatars following keywords (type, category... e.g: furry...) or from a specific author (like an author a player want to follow) Also, some Avatar Creator are not always up to create a world just for storing Avatar Pedestals. Inconvenient Making an Avatar listed in the Avatar Marketplace would make the "favorite" list feature compromise, as it could become a way to avoid store an Avatar in the player favorite list as it could be easily accessible in the Avatar Marketplace. Conclusion So, we could make an "listed" option for Avatar Creator to make their "public" avatars listed for FREE in the Avatar Marketplace, in order to share them to the community, while "unlisted" "public" Avatars would not being listed in the Avatar Marketplace. Again, the idea is to not have the same behavior as "buying" an Avatar, but rather the ability for a player to find and select and avatar for free from the Avatar Marketplace.

The title's pretty self-explanatory, I think it'd be great if I could gift credits or subscriptions to a friend. It's worth mentioning though that allowing for inter-person credit transactions like that could lead to scummy behaviour, so the actual implementation of this feature would probably need some nuance in order to be safe from scams.

I've noticed that in the Creator Economy Program Rules, there isnt any kind of form of preventing "Pay to Win" content from existing. Pay to win can potentially ruin many worlds, like giving others an unfair advantage. Lets take murder 4 as an example. Lets say that if you were subscribed to them and they give you an item that can quickly help you identify the murderer. it could ruin the fun for everyone. I hope you guys will see this, as it could cause a lot of issues after release.

Make a gold VRRat Avatar for the avatar marketplace People buy for the sh**post VRChat profits

It should be only visible when you open the marketplace tab in the menu, having your credit balance permanently in your face feels terrible, even more so when you don't plan to buy anything. personnal note : I would maybe plan to pay if the creator gets 90% tho

When I try to buy credits using steamlink in PCVR, the Steam payment page opens normally. After completing the payment, VRChat gets stuck on 'Processing...' indefinitely, and Steam also shows 'Processing Transaction,' but the transaction never completes. If I'm not wrong, it is a limitation between Meta and Steam and there is probably a workaround. But not being able to buy VRChat credits prevents users from supporting the in-game economy.

With this new system coming out I feel like there is the possibility for a lot of good but also a lot of bad. Please have a conversation with the community to put in place strict rules on what kind of content can be sold as well as tools to report content that does not follow those rules. Examples might be : No items or service that promote gambling or can be used to gamble. Please leave suggestions of more rules under this post if you have any.

The currently trending world Super Fun Obby by Hans has a system where upon respawn you will be served a full screen pop up for microtransaction purchases. I believe a lot of VRC players especially VR users would appreciate an option to disable this kind of "intrusive pop-ups"(blocking movement and most vision, requires the user to click "X" to close popup). I would like to suggest these possible solutions: Options to disable all "Automatic pop-up" or just popups. Allow user movement to dismiss pop-ups. Allow VRC menu button to dismiss pop-ups. Only allow intrusive pop-ups if a user has actively clicked on an element. I may be in the minority here since that world mentioned above is trending with hundreds of players. But as a VR user needing to dismiss a pop-up by clicking a tiny "x" button every few seconds is extremely irritating.
