[1486] Clone Record/Playback system dosn't function correctly
closed
AirGamer
This avatar has the ability to record your movements and have the clone play it back.
I believe this is an optional feature of DexClone, but as this is a public avatar I ran across, I cannot 100% confirm.
1485 fixed the performance issues, but did not fix the functionally of this system.
Instead of playing back your recorded movements, the clone instead appears upside down in a different location

Sorry about this, but your avatar contains too many constraints.
We enforce a maximum upper limit of 2000 constraints per avatar for performance reasons, which we feel is fairly generous compared to the limit of 15 constraints per avatar that was previously recommended before the introduction of VRChat constraints. Since this avatar contains more than 2000 constraints, the excess constraints are removed as your avatar is loaded in-game, which results in the behavior you've reported.
This avatar would need to be optimized to reduce the number of constraints on it. Given how this cloning system appears to work, that might mean reducing the number of bones on the avatar, or setting small or irrelevant bones to be ignored by the cloning system if it supports this.

Dexvoid I myself cannot do this, as this avatar is someone else's public avatar (and I don't have contact with the creator to tell them), but the addition of the constraint limit is nonetheless noted.

Dexvoid While you are here, can you take a glance over this issue https://feedback.vrchat.com/bug-reports/p/1492-item-pickup-system-fails-to-correctly-track-hand as it affects one of my own personal avatars

Thanks, this is the second time in a row they've marked these posts as "Available in Future Release" when they aren't actually fixed. If your goal is to fully replace Unity constraints and have no option for auto-conversion, you need to ensure that these sorts of issues are fixed.

The specific issues reported by you and others in related Canny posts were addressed as far as we're aware. If you know of Canny posts on this topic that were marked as Available in Future Release where the specific problem described in that Canny still isn't addressed, please feel free to list them here and we'll investigate them.
Please note that we enforce an upper limit of 2000 constraints per avatar as described above. While that limit does trigger the same symptoms for the avatar in this report as in your own previous report regarding your clone system, the underlying cause is not the same.

While another canny posts exists with a similar issue, that post was marked as "Available in future release", pi has stated that any canny marked as such has already been fixed, and any avatars still having issues should get a new canny post. So here is a new canny post
