When taking photos in VRChat, I often use selfie mode because I’m usually taking pictures of myself or myself and my friends.
If the photos you’ve taken of yourself or your friends didn’t turn out well, you’ll need to use photo editing software to fix them.
Since many VRChat users are particular about their avatars' appearance, it's preferable to take phots without flipping the image horizontally.

現在だとフリップのボタンにポインタを当てると警告が出るようになっています。
ただし、この"ポインタを当てている間だけ警告が表示される"というのが厄介で、"左右反転モードの時に常に警告が出続ける"といった挙動にはなっていません。
おまけに、アイコンは回転するだけで変化がありません。
そのため、"押すとフリップする"のか、"すでに現在フリップしている"のかをアイコンだけで判断できません。インジケーターとして何も役に立っていないのです。
例えば左右反転の間は常に警告を出し続けるとか、カメラモニターの枠の色が変わるとか、そういった"現在進行形で、左右反転しています"という表示が欲しいです。
最後に、これがもし"写真"ではなく"動画"だったらどうしますか？
撮影が終わった後にフリップしている事に初めて気づいたらぞっとしませんか？

I said I’d flip the video too… but I was worried, so I went ahead and checked.
These three images are all screenshots from OBS.
(In other words, this is exactly how the video will be recorded and streamed.)
The first image shows the normal view, looking at the mirror.
The second image shows the view after using the flip button to face myself.
(This is exactly the situation we’re discussing here on Canny.)
The third image shows the camera in flying mode, panning to face myself.
I think you can clearly see that the left and right sides are reversed in the second and third images.
