There should be another feature if you want to change your status, but not like accepting, online, ask, or DND. But just have a thing to where you can set your self to offline mode so people can't see if your online. like I have had a problem with people seeing that I am on DND, and then asking me what are you doing, if I am on DND, then they shouldn't bother me. So to fix that solution have an appear offline category so people don't get bothered because people can still message you on other apps like discord, snap, instagram, ext....

So I think this would be a very interesting feature to add
