with the forced activity status being shown even just being active on the website, vrchat needs this now more than ever.

Can we PLEASE have an "invisible" offline mode?
LunaAshes
I want to appear offline even if I'm not. That's the whole post. Tupper has said elsewhere "We have DND mode so we won't add an invisible mode" but that doesn't do what we want at all. People still see me as online, they just can't join. I have ~1,000 friends and I'd really appreciate this feature.

This would be nice. I don’t see why this is already an option. Sometimes you might want to avoid a person who cant take a hint to leave you alone, or people who take it personal when you just want to be left alone / avoid people(s) on your friends list. This is an option in pretty much every social game / application, so it makes sense.

I find this really counter-productive for VRChat. It's a socializing game, not a "hide from your friends" kind of game.
There's more important things that need to be added than this.

Would love this to be available, Sometimes i have vrc just open when working on an avatar and having to deal with constant invites is a pain
Results based on current status
When orange: "you never accept my invites!"
When red: "you're never available!"
Having a hidden status would make it possible to just keep running vrc without anyone being any wiser. Other options would be the use of smurf accounts with 0 friends but that's not ideal either.

MissStabby: This would also be ideal for times when one wants to record video without everyone jumping all over them. "Online Availability" can be stressful. If I walk into an IRL club, and 15 people are there, I'm only "on" for 15 people. If I log into
insert social media platform
I'm "on" for an entire friend list, which could be hundred/thousands of people. No one should feel anxious before logging on to VRChat. Also, perhaps there could be a sort of "white list" of friends who you never have to be invisible with, while the majority of your friends would see you as invisible. Like, there could be a checkbox for "Does Invisible status apply for white list friends?" If you have a production team, or work as a DJ with a few promoters/DJs/Hosts/VIPs, I feel like it could be helpful to do that without the world seeing it. It sure helps me out on Discord!

yes we need this feature

Interacting with avatar and world creators I can understand the desire to hide any unfinished works, especially if you're keeping it a surprise for someone.
But wanting to hide your avatar and world doesn't always mean you want to hide invites and messages.
I know I've needed a second pair of eyes to check over an avatar I'm working on.
