Make Custom Emojis visible on user profile to track down malicious users

Currently its really easy to stand in a busy crowd and send out a shocking image or symbol as a custom Emoji, since its hard to spot who send a offensive emoji it opens the door for griefers.
Having the emoji listed on a user profile will make it really easy to see who has TOS breaking shock content uploaded as emoji, making it easier for event organizers to kick malicious users or report them for TOS breaking and harassment.

Copied and pasted from here, which is a tangential but related issue. This particular issue is tracked.
We're absolutely aware that custom emoji (and other image uploads) on VRChat can be used for these purposes.
We have been investigating and have already been implementing methods to proactively scan and moderate images uploaded to VRChat. These methods employ services that are also employed on other platforms, much larger than VRChat.
I don't have more info now, but I saw this pop up in my inbox. Wanted to let you know that it is in progress and is nearing deployment.
Since it's a moderation-related system, I can't give much more detail than that, but I'll share what I can when possible!
Edit:
Oh, and we've also added in tracked items to consider better ways to see who sent what emoji, or see what emoji a user has access to.
Those are probably "later on" things because we're confident the scanning systems can solve a majority of these issues first.Hackebein
I saw multiple times swastika in crowded instances. I had no idea how to find out who it was. Even starring at the direction where it came from didn't help at all.
I believe this is a very usefull solution to track this people down. Showing them on Profile would be good enough for me.

It might also be nice to show the used emoji in the new instance user list,
Having a quick overview of the entire userlist with the potential emoji they could send out makes it quick to find malicious users without needing to check profiles one by one

MissStabby: I agree that this is an issue. but I am not sure if publicly showing the emojis on the profile is the best way to solve it, there might be cases where you do not want to show your emojis to others (I cannot think off a single use case where that could be the case, but it could be one).
It might be better to show the used emojis like you mentioned, but that requires to use the emoji at least once, which doesn't entirely fix the issue.

MyroP: turning it around, if it's too risky for someone to show their emotes on their profile, it's probably too risky to let them show them in an instance, no?
If someone wants to use icons that might be considered offensive, then they should also be held accountable for using them. Simple as that.

Yewnyx: I was mostly thinking of more sensitive emotes you might only want to show to really close friends, or to certain groups of people, for instance emotes of your IRL face etc.
Which is something I wouldn't do, but I don't know how everyone uses emotes right now.
It's hard to think about use cases where showing emotes on everyones profile could be an issue. I feel like this is similar to the reason why we cannot see avatars uploaded by other users on their user profile.

Should having emoji's shown on a profile all the time be too much of a issue, it might be good to only show emoji's fired off in the last 10 minutes

Heavy +1: if some rando I don't recognize joins an instance I'm running, I'm probably gonna check their profile - I want to see their n*zi b.s. in their profile so I can yeet them out ASAP. Would be nice to report them for it too.
