MacOS Support
child of the beast
With MacOS moving to the M1 and M2 Chips, and with EAC blocking VRChat from being ran in a VM, having "native" MAcOS support would be amazing. Even if it's running though rosetta and not truly native.

macOS is only popular in the U.S. and maybe Canada. Entirely irrelevant world wide.
Even less than Linux. So we should get a LINUX version first.

Yeah dude like the official iOS version is here. It's legit one button you have to push in the Unity SDK to make this work. Would be nice to see standalone in the Vision Pro too

The official VRChat iOS version is finally out so what’s stopping us from bringing it to Apple Silicon Macs? They share the same architecture, and it would open the door for so many new users. This is the perfect time to make it happen!

I am adding my voice of desire for this, VR even works if you do ALVR through VMWare Fusion. The only blocker now is ARM64 support being blocked in EAC. Please fix, if possible <3

Apple Silicon is very powerful: There is also a unified RAM version of the MacBook, so it is very valuable to be able to VRChat on a Macbook.

Since VRChat of iOS is online, it would be better to enable VRChat download on apple silicon devices.

I still use a pc and pc vr headset when I play at home but im more and more frequently on the go in my career. Ive used the android client (which is great in a pinch) but would love to at least use the 2d mode on my macbook's to keep in touch with friends.

I use VRChat for co-working. My employer insists on me using a Mac. I want to be able to co-work natively on MacOS without having to run several other computers and anydesk to be able to do my job.
Not to mention the battery life on Macbooks is insane so I can take one macbook laptop on holiday and it will do me for working on the train followed by streaming VRChat to OBS in the evening. all from a macbook

absolutely, as of right now the mac mini m4 is rumored to be smaller, so imagine something where you can attach that to the back, a battery bank to the front (or 2, with one being swappable and the other as the main), then connect the mac to a quest headset... portable pcvr
and yes, I made notes (freeform, ipad mini)

I am on the go from time-to-time and like to still use VRChat on desktop mode. I'd also like to be able to test ingame content and the likes.
MacOS support would open up VRChat to a bigger market of people, especially given the fact that there's rumored to be a tethered Apple VR headset on the way for a reduced price.
Please add this and open up VRChat to MacOS users. At least allow ARM64 windows to run VRChat in EAC.
