Build 11721 [IK-beta] AND various non IK beta.
First encountered when building an avatar with 6 chairs/stations on it. In DESKTOP MODE the issue was never encountered. In VR, the moment the avatar was loaded in, the user would fully freeze position, both VR tracking and world movement NON-LOCALLY only. User would see themselves tracking and moving about the world just fine. Voice can be heard by other users who were within normal listening distance of the frozen player position.
Upon troubleshooting that seats were the issue, it was discovered specifically reducing stations from 4-6 to 3 fixed the issue for freezing instantly on this particular avatar, but still left often inconsistent issues as follows:
A) The user may start locking up at random as mentioned previously, freezing and unfreezing without any particular input. This can follow the user even if they change avatars and requires a client restart to fully resolve.
B) Beginning at a random time, the user will freeze up as mentioned previously, however this will only happen when the user accesses a RADIAL or PUPPET menu. The user can control when the freezing when happening this way, position and tracking freezing their avatar by opening up a radial/puppet menu, changing position, and then closing the menu to have themselves instantly update to other users to a new location/position. This can also follow the user even if they change avatars and requires a client restart to fully resolve.
Additional notes:
-Changing worlds also does not fix this issue.
-Person reporting only has seen this on avatars with multiple chairs/stations on them thus far, and has seen both A and B behavior mentioned above across multiple users and avatars, not just on self. Other users are both a mix of IK-beta and non-IK-beta users.
-Reporting user DOES NOT use any modified client of any kind, and only uses OVR desktop + advanced settings as common supplementary VR programs.
-If mentioned avatars are not used, or other users do not use similarly triggering avatars, this behavior will not be seen.
-It is worth noting again that only under the condition of 4+ chairs on one particular avatar, has this been seen as consistently reproducible.
Why is it an issue?: If it isn't obvious, this is an issue that could easily confuse users if others are not responding or reacting to them(Locally they are moving fine, but to everyone else they are frozen a large distance away). Essentially making them a ghost or statue until the issue decides to stop or lessen in severity, or VRC client is restarted.
Edit addition: Users in the comment section claiming similar issue is also caused with multiple stations on an avatar https://feedback.vrchat.com/bug-reports/p/avatar-position-and-bone-synchronization-stopped-after-osc-update
