Since a recent update, Shadow users can no longer launch VRChat. It feels like we’ve been banned.

KnowhiesIt's the anti-cheat, shadow has nothing to do with it. Look at how multiple games' anyi-cheat does the same eventually. It's not shadowPC's fault in the slightest if it was a VRC update that did it

ʚ ʀɨʋɛʀ ɞ In fact, everyone has their share of responsibility both Shadow and VRChat. First of all, VRChat should have warned the Shadow team about their updates so that Shadow could implement a certificate allowing us to launch VRChat. On the other hand, Shadow also failed to put in place a certificate system to run games using EAC. But it’s extremely frustrating on VRChat’s part to have pushed this security update right before the Christmas holidays, when many people will be getting Shadow for Christmas and trying VRChat on Shadow for the first time. :/

I just got shadow pc for two friends as an xmas present specifically so they could play vrchat in pc/vr. Now they can't even launch the game.

i subscribed shadow PC just to play VR chat, and i was just busy with work for a few dates, now suddenly cannot play anymore? ridiculous, Mac users need shadow pc to play VR chat!!

My shadow pc is the only way i play vrc without shadow pc i have nothing and i prob wont be playing anymore unless it gets unbanned �

Tbh, there's very low chance of me continuing to play vrc if I cant use shadow pc for pcvr. I cannot afford a gaming laptop or pc rn, this was my only way of being able to play the game at a good cost. I get protecting from cheaters or wtv, but people who just want to play the game are effected as well.

Hello VRChat Team,
I would like to report an issue affecting many legitimate players using Shadow PC.
Since a recent anti-cheat update, VRChat no longer allows us to connect, because Shadow PC is detected as a virtual machine. Shadow is a legitimate, paid cloud PC service, not a cheating tool.
Many players rely on Shadow PC to access VRChat, especially for VR and accessibility reasons, and we play without mods or cheats. This block currently prevents us from playing at all, even in desktop mode.
We fully understand the need for strong anti-cheat measures, but a blanket block on all virtual machines also affects honest users. We kindly ask if it would be possible to:
• Review the detection of Shadow PC
• Consider whitelisting trusted cloud PC services
• Or provide clarification on whether support may return in the future

I've been using for the past 2 years Shadow pc. I have no other alternative if not using that. I need to use a virtual machine. Everything is pc sided to me, me going back to standalone feels very limitated. I hope this gets fixed.
