Since a recent update, Shadow users can no longer launch VRChat. It feels like we’ve been banned.

After further investigation, we have determined that these issues with Shadow PC are outside of our control, and are not a result of any configurations we have changed. We cannot make changes to VRChat or its configuration that would fix these issues, or future issues with Shadow related to this particular problem.
We understand completely that continued issues with Shadow may come as a disappointment, and that some users utilize Shadow to access VRChat. We feel it too - some of our team members are affected by these problems as well.
While VRChat may work under VMs such as Shadow PC, we cannot guarantee support for any specific VM setup. There are many factors at play and nearly all of them are outside of our ability to affect or control. As we note in our documentation, using VRChat via a Virtual Machine is not directly supported, but is possible to do if you are an interested player with the appropriate technical expertise.
In other words: "it might work, but we can't guarantee it'll keep working, and we won't help you if it breaks." That might sound harsh, but we simply don't have the ability to support these types of setups.
In this particular case, the most we can do is encourage those affected to contact Shadow's support for more information.

I just found proof that vrchat doesn't really care for it's gamers who have no other choice but to use vms, at the time of writing this I am able to play the game rematch and outlast trails which both utilise EAC, vrchat devs stop lying to us saying that you have no way to make vrchat playable again on vms, there is a partial deal already in place between epic games and shadow pc for the devs to request the whitelisting of shadow pc, the devs are purposely not doing this as they admit themselves they don't support the use of vms, if we lived in a perfect world where people didn't need to splash close to 2000 for a functional gaming pc and vms didn't exist because people were able to get a gaming pc great but we don't live in a perfect world and like with everything in this world not everything is black and white, good or evil people who use vms are not all ban evaders, cheaters, hackers whatnot.
Rematch and outlast trials work on shadow pc they both use EAC so kindly explain how they work without error and vrchat, dead by daylight and a bunch of other games don't.

Vrchat still being lazy and not requesting the whitelisting of shadow pc what is going on?

To address Tupper's comment on the developer stream directly ( https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2750638358?t=01h31m43s >"...or lessen the security capabilities of eac on virtual machines which we also cannot do" )
the current method to play on
any
virtual machine solution is to spoof many devices in the system to appear as real hardware via hacks and patches. This is not a "security" thing VMs get wrong, this is simply necessary evasion when an application is trying to block the execution in virtual machines. I am still very much interested in a direct addressing of whether or not VRC can simply no longer try to detect and block VMs.Angel De'0tt3r

This is the most stupidest thing ever. I can get banning mods for the crashers but ya'll still have crasher problems. Whats even more stupid is that the game does run on VIrtual Machines. Look at geforce now they have VRChat listed and it works fine and NOBODY plays on that. And you have Linux support. So
you can still have the problem of hackers.

Vrchat can request to have shadow pc whitelisted for vrchat so why they taking their sweet time about it

It's becoming quite clear that vrchat and other games devs that utilise eac have access to block vms like shadow pc because to note in that document where got the difference codes it admits that vrchat devs don't support vms so who is the real liars here?

This problem is within VRChats control to fix. Other EAC games can work in VMs so it there is a configuration option available to VRChat to allow it. I would also like to reiterate that this problem effects all VMs, not just Shadow PC. It occurs because EAC has become more stringent at detecting VMs and VRChat has not enabled the option in EAC to allow running their game on VMs. Whether this is out of sheer ignorance or penny pinching to use the free or lower tier version of EAC, I don't know.

IT'S NOT JUST VRC, IT'S EVERY GAME THAT USES EAC, IT'S SOMETHING ON EPIC GAME'S SIDE!
