images pixelated and yellow

avatars, banners, and most other images appear yellow and pixelated in search worlds + the menu. only started recently (~3-4 days ago)

Same issue on AQUOS sense10 (Android 16).
Started around June 1st, 2025.
Yellow pixelated/noisy textures appear on world thumbnails, banners, profile images, and loading screens.
Reinstalling VRChat, clearing cache, changing network, and disabling HW overlays did not fix it.
The same account works normally on Pixel 5a.
