World-based inventory

In addition to the inventory post that already exist, I want to be able to give players items to consume/spawn only usable in my world.
For example, if I make a Minecraft-esque world every player would find a starter kit in their inventory with a shovel, axe, torch and pickaxe. When leaving the world the items would disappear. Or a flare gun players can use to find each other on super large worlds.
Assuming persistence exists, a tick box would exist on the imaginary item component to either make it disappear on switching world or you keep it forever (Or until consumed?)

Hello, this hasn't had an update in quite a while so thought of sharing something you might find interesting! We're currently in Closed Beta for Persistence, which comes with the new ability to have persistent inventory items for worlds! More specifically, this can be done via what we're currently calling Player Objects.
Highly recommend to watch Karet's demo in one of our recent Dev Updates, its a pretty cool example of this in action for an inventory of neat trading cards. In their words:
The system uses both Player Data, to record what cards you have, and Player Objects, to spawn them into the world via my inventory system.
You can find more about our plans and current documentation on Persistence there, but in short it should be coming to open beta quite soon 👀. Also here's the main Persistence canny post if you want to follow along: https://feedback.vrchat.com/udon/p/save-load-persistent-world-data. For now will keep this post separate but let me know if you'd rather have this merged into that one.

World based inventory is nice and all, but would be solved by simply adding it to a fully working avatar based inventory system. There can just be a folder for different VRChat worlds. The only thing the world would have to do, is make sure the content is offered in the world for each persons inventory.
This is as old as 2017 and still has no traction. This needs to be the next fundamental step, not a fleeting what if.
I could care LESS about the world based economic system they are trying to push. There is nothing that will convince me to subscribe to a world, that is NOT the content marketplace I was wanting.
If they want people to spend money, that item better have some permanence. Like with an avatar based inventory system. =)

Don't get this is "interested." This is already possible.
Remnant Vale world, stores info in your cache, and provides a code to be used in-game to redeem them next time. This behavior can be expanded upon to achieve what this posts explains.

HexKel: Sure. But those can be hacked. Idle Home has dealt with this I believe.
And official system would likely have more integrity.

Prop/trophy collection that you could earn and bring to other worlds would be cool. There would be a ton of scavenger hunts in worlds for cool props and items you could use inter-worldly

How would people see the objects in the new world you join if you keep the items? Will they have to download your cashed invintory ontop of your avatar? If so this will slow download times alot, and fill cash much much faster if people love to keep inventory full of random crap, or items for the purpose of filling cash of other users as a method of trolling, or being a nuisance to the next world they connect to. This system would be very cool, if they copy neos system for inventory then it could mitigate this issue. But still players could cram the cash like hell by spawning very large or taxing to download items. This isnt much different than them changing avatars to large or taxing avatars, but would just be more convenient for them to do it as a method of disrupting people.

Fashionable: they could do something similar to avatar max download sizes, and the neos copying is a good idea lol

Would love to see an inventory system added with third party props. Could make it into a small eco where VRC takes a small amount from each purch to help fund as well, and give an item ID to each indv sale to help prevent possible piracy.

Can we buy functioning items fron worlds and take them as souvenir and a functional merchandise into our home worlds?
