Max distance for 3p camera is too far.
TummyTime
I think the max distance of the 3p camera should be at least half of what it is now. It's kinda weird that we now have a camera that just can zoom in on people without them knowing it's there. The regular camera at least have the flying lens so you know it's there.
Even if you're in 3p mode it feels like your view should be around where your avatar is. Not from across the street.
If people want to take pictures of their avatar in third person, they can already do that with the regular camera.

I missed this issue, but I had a different take on how to solve it:
Dalken Starbyne
I've actually had several circumstances where it felt like the zoom distance didn't go far ENOUGH, but I'll grant that in at least one of those situations, it was because I was scaled down way smaller than everyone else.
I can also understand the privacy concerns, however, and I don't think an indicator of where the third-person camera is would necessarily go amiss, either

Dalken Starbyne I'm in the camp of 'not far enough'. As an accessibility option alone, the distance of 3rd person camera view helps compensate for the lack of FOV avaliable. FOV 100 is too low for my comfort, but with the 3rd person distance so far, that FOV is finally bearable. No more is my head splitting from playing desktop mode.
When this was first implemented I immediately thought of the privacy concerns, but in practice of using it I'm not sure something like this really makes sense in the spirit of the game. For the immersion sense of the VR userbase, this seems more distracting than it's worth. To me this moreso pushes into the 'annoying' side than anything, which could be resolved with user moderation.

Takkun the Cat I think, like with the personal camera, having it be an option for how visible others' are to you is what I imagine would be the "best of both worlds" option here. If you want immersion, and you aren't so concerned about where others' viewpoints are, then turn them off. But it can still be there for those who are justifiably concerned about some creepy rando trying to sneak a peek on them without their knowledge or permission

Dalken Starbyne Probably good solution to have it function similar to camera visibility as a middleground sure. I set and forget that long ago, and forgot that was even implimented lest I need the feature and remember it exists. Then it could have it's solution for those who want it or not.
In that sense I guess I would have more of an oppinion on which the default behavior should be? As a non creep user of 3phan default. , I'd still prefer the personal privacy of not having my cameraher t viewpoint visibility broadcast to other users, so I'd like if an implimentation like this were opt in rather than default. Perhaps room for discussion here?

If failing this, it would be nice to toggle on an option to see where the player's camera is. We already have this for the actual camera and this is essentially the same thing.
