Don't use Tab for free-look
BoatFloater
The tab button is an extremely useful way for desktop users to navigate UI elements in the world. With Tab bound to free-look, it is impossible to interact with UI elements other than when the head is in the way.

There are some worlds where holding Tab brings up a world menu that fills the screen. This is useful UX in my opinion because the menu can be brought up from anywhere and automatically navigated easily due to the tab-ui-navigation feature.
I agree with a suggestion from the discord to switch this to the middle mouse button because it synergizes well with the existing camera controls (move/zoom) and is consistent with the desktop controls for the picture camera.

'Tab' for wasd movement is never used for holding in games, its for quick & standing menu checks. I would not recommend stretching the shorter ring or pinky fingers in this way such that free lock with movement keys held together is not awkward.
Of Tab key, If not able to reserve a modifier key that can be held elsewhere and more comfortable: change free look into a state that only cancels when a certain other subset of keys are held, as in make the free lock state something that can be combo-cancelled after being enabled.
Following the other main point, it would be time now for the VRC Devs to formally define keyboard keys worlds can and cannot use, such the growing pains of reserving keys can be solved long term and give confidences of a standard in future compatibility of worlds that will eventually age before and after new official key-binds are introduced and conflict.

At least at the moment, tab seems to behave normally when in first person. So only Scroll wheel and F5 are broken for world creators (which is also horrible).
I haven't tested it, but I assume it would have also broken my mouse emulation otherwise.
