When the Unity Editor is in Prefab Mode, the SDK should show an error and some guide in the Builder tab.
For mistakes, trying to upload their avatar in Prefab Mode is a common mistake. they confronted to encounter this situation by double-arguing on an avatar prefab they confronted.
Even in Prefab Mode, the SDK shows the Builder tab and allows you to press the “Build & Test” and “Build & Publish” buttons. If the user hits the buttons, SDK shows “Building Avatar” Progress (see attached image) and does nothing after that. Also, there are no errors on the Console.
Overall, the SDK doesn't care about this situation at all. It should be improved.
Tested with SDK 3.7.1

Title: Make an error appear when building an avatar in prefab mode
When the Unity Editor is in prefab mode, the SDK should show errors and instructions in the Builder tab.
Trying to upload an avatar in prefab mode is a common mistake for beginners. They seem to run into this situation by double clicking on the Avatar prefab they purchased.
Even in prefab mode, the SDK displays the Builder tab as usual, and the “Build & Test” and “Build & Publish” buttons can now be pressed. When the user presses the button, the SDK shows the progress of the “Building Avatar” (see attached image) and then does nothing. Also, there are no errors in the console.
Overall, the SDK doesn't take this situation into account at all. It should be improved.
Tested with SDK 3.7.1.
