Reflections crashing after upgrading to Unity 2022

In projects upgraded from Unity 2019 to 2022, having any kind of mirror shader or Realtime ReflectionProbe active will crash the editor when compiling shaders OR switching to/from play mode. Also would crash in game when leaving the instance with a mirror active. Both SDK 3.5.0 and 3.5.1.
I suspect this is a bug in Unity 2022.3.6f1 that has to do with the stereo processing.
"Failed to read magic number" always in log file.
I have not experienced this with a new Unity 2022 project yet.
