Editor Quality Settings Outdated
needs more information

VRChat's internal quality settings were recently adjusted for Android, most notably by changing Anisotropic Textures from Forced On to Per Texture. This setting is still set to Forced On in the editor's Mobile quality level which can make it difficult to understand why the same textures have an observable loss of quality when viewed from in-game on mobile devices.
The SDK needs to be updated to apply these new anisotropic quality settings to the mobile quality level

I may be wrong, but I believe it's always been Per Texture in the client? The only thing we've done recently is cap AF at 8x.

From what I've gathered, all quality levels in the VRC Client appear to use Forced On prior to build 1440.
VRC build 1400 (number might not be exact) added "various performance improvements" which changed the VRC Mobile quality level to use Per Texture.
The Editor quality settings have not been updated to reflect this, and still all use Forced On, which is out of sync with the in-game results.
This inconsistency has lead to many world developers who don't do extensive Mobile testing not knowing that they have to fix their Aniso Levels in order for their content to not be blurry, making the overall visual experience on Mobile noticeably worse.
Regardless of my other conclusions, the current editor quality settings have Anisotropic Textures set to Forced On at all quality levels, so the quality settings are outdated regardless of if it was always Per Texture in the client.
There might be other inconsistencies I'm not aware of, too.

4Bakers We're already looking to introduce some baseline defaults for textures client-side on mobile, but on a per-texture-usage basis. Not sure if that's something we can hint at in the editor

Feilen but the editor setting is "Forced On" on Mobile quality? which is currently inaccurate as it should be Per Texture. this bug report is a request to bring the editor quality settings up to date with the changes made to the client, and I don't understand how the points you've brought up contribute directly to that
I mean I personally think the decision to change to Per Texture was terrible but this is the wrong thread for discussing that, I'm just asking that the editor quality settings be fixed because they're outdated and I think it would do us and the greater vrchat community a great service if we stayed on topic
