[1601] Default instance settings set by a world creator should always be respected no matter what
ʙɪɢ․
To preface this, I'm 50/50 on this one. I understand
why
the system is set up like this, it just seems strange to me that the current implementation of "instance settings" allows people to disrespect a world creator's wishes if the instance isn't public. If a world creator doesn't want people to stickerbomb their world or litter it with prints, then I can see why people would argue that that choice should always be respected.
This is especially worrisome when drones are currently able to influence rigidbodies: https://feedback.vrchat.com/open-beta/p/1601-drones-should-not-influence-pickups-rigidbodies-in-worlds

I'm fully against this, let people do what they want in their own instances, they can break all the rules anyways with custom avatars. You can make flying avatars, you can place sticker-like content with custom avatars, you can easily make own emojis with custom avatar.
So stop trying to prey into what people do in their own private space.
Its my own instance where im with friends so any issues of privacy or cheating dont apply, as there is no one here to cheat against when we all wanted to experience the world in this way.
Especially that creators often disallow stuff for no reason, some things can't even be re-enabled, like portals, making you stuck in basically broken world and needing to ask everyone to join on you manually when exploring with a group...

As someone currently making a world, the drone can be really easily used to completely ruin the experience and cheat especially due to the unlimited range. I want it off for a reason, I should be able to make sure it stays off.
Maybe I want stickers off by default suggestion but don't care if someone wants to turn them on, that's completely fine by me. But if I want to disable something like the drone completely I should absolutely be able to do that.

Also the dron can be a privacy issue because I see posible to go out of bounds easily and go to private rooms and spy on users.

I really like the ability of instance creators to be able to disable content in instances. Most worlds don't have any content disabled. Running a group public Black Cat and don't want people to sticker awful shit on the walls or scatter prints of TOS breaking images around the world? You can now disable them. Great!
But allowing instance creators to override content disabled by a world creator is a baffling decision to me. World creators should have the final say of what's allowed IN THEIR WORLDS. If a world creator disables stickers because they don't work and an instance creator makes an instance and enables them anyway then what's the point of the world creator having that choice to begin with? This only effects a minority of worlds but it's such a strange decision that can ruin a world creator's vision or artistic design.

EksCelle It's especially annoying that group public instances are preferred over regular public instances. This also causes even more unclarity to those confused why they suddenly can/can't use certain features, blaming it on the world creator for something out of their control.

EksCelle I should have the final say what I can do in my own instance with my friends, its not a public place to need some weird random rules that only make my experience worse.
You can still control the public spaces to that trolls can't ruin the intended experience - and thats great. But in private instances there is no such risk, the only thing you can achieve is make people not want to use such world when its limited more than others for no reason.
