Worlds and Avatars Redownloaded Every Session
Salbug
Every time a new session of VRChat is started, previously downloaded worlds and avatars are redownloaded again, indicating that they are not being cached properly.

it may be a slightly different issue, but it (redownloading content that i definitely had cached in my 200GB of cache) happened to me only the first time i loaded each piece of content in the beta.
something seem to have changed with cache file paths, and the folder containing the specific version of the avatar is now named differently, so the file was "missing" and had to be redownloaded
the __data files in both of the folders in the attachments below are identical.
for clarity obviously i haven't modified this avatar in the meantime

I think Natsumi may be on to something there, as so far we've been unable to repro on our end.
If anyone is experiencing this issue and doesn't use VRCX or similar third-party tools, please drop a comment here to let us know!

oh, it took me a minute after writing the above standalone comment, but i believe i know what causes it.
previously cache folders were created in an alphabetical order, so tools removing older versions had to keep just the "greatest" one after sorting them by name.
now this naming system changed (see my above screenshots) and it may cause the newer version's folder to be alphabetically "earlier"/"lower", so the aforementioned tools delete it, causing it to be missing and getting redownloaded during the next session.
cheers.

Speculation by Natsumi.

Attached a video of the described issue.
Note that clearing my cache seems to have corrected it though.
