The new DPID mipmapper doesnt know how to handle Normal maps- I think its forgetting to actually unpack them. Attached are a side by side comparison of the worldSpace Normals using Box vs DPID.
Furthermore, it also seems to struggle handling HDR images/non sRGB images? Example given is a 16bit .exr texture- Mip0 behaves as expected, but Mip1 and on seem to be using the wrong color space.
