Happyuky7
When joining an instance, the loading screen sometimes becomes stuck even though the world is still downloading. After approximately 30 seconds, the load is cancelled and I am automatically returned to my Home world.
This occurs most frequently when accepting an invitation from a friend, although it can occasionally happen when joining an instance normally. If I attempt to join the same instance again, the world usually loads immediately, presumably because it was downloaded during the first attempt.
Steps to reproduce:
  1. Launch VRChat.
  2. Stay in an existing world.
  3. Accept an invitation from a friend or attempt to join their instance.
  4. Wait while the destination world downloads.
  5. Observe that the loading progress becomes stuck or does not accurately represent the download.
  6. After approximately 30 seconds, VRChat cancels the room load and returns to the Home world.
  7. Join the same instance again.
  8. Observe that the world loads immediately or much faster.
Expected result:
The loading screen should continue displaying the actual download/loading progress and allow the user to enter the instance once the world has finished downloading.
Actual result:
The loading progress becomes stuck, the room load is cancelled, and the user is sent back to their Home world while the world appears to have continued downloading in the background.
Frequency:
This happens frequently when accepting invitations from friends. It is much less common when joining instances normally.
Platform:
PCVR using SteamVR.
