Genuinely incredibly disappointed by what we have today that's in a "release candidate". I have asked multiple times directly that I hope VRChat will consider accessibility in their design thoroughly to ensure that everything is readable at a glance and is suitable for everybody playing the game no matter their disability. The new nameplate design is a tragedy, and I would feel personally ashamed to release something like this to the public for a community that is made up of so many different individuals from various backgrounds. Do better.
- Top-right icons are unreadable and do not align with the WCAG standard, which is an important standard even for video games.
- The custom status, once in an area that is too bright such as the cubes to the right, will end up becoming unreadable. The name is also susceptible to this issue, but less so.
- The pronouns have become too small to read for most individuals when at a reasonable distance.

The avatar performance icons are especially horrible in their readability. It's extremely hard to make a distinction between poor and very poor with such a tiny icon that looks similar to one another. This was fine in the past, as the text before was readable even from a distance, but now it's very hard to tell which is which at a glance.
