The specific issues are as follows.
  • The only clue for distinguishing Trust Ranks is the color of the shield-shaped icon. This is particularly problematic for users with color blindness.
  • Visibility from a distance is worse than with the previous nameplates. It has become more difficult to approach Visitors and New Users who are just starting out in VRChat and are feeling lost.
As a solution, we could prepare icons with different shapes for each Trust Rank, and for Visitor and New User, display the Trust Rank not only as an icon but also as text. I’m not sure how Nuisance is currently displayed, but it would also likely be necessary to provide text for this rank.
