The new uniform spacing on friends wing requires significantly more effort to process.
When I look at that menu now it honestly just feels like mush, I can't quickly tell where a new world starts and where the friends in that world end, etc. When you have enough friends and you need to scroll this list quickly, it becomes a real point of frustration. I imagine this will get worse as profile decorations are rolled out and names start to look closer to world banner images.
The old design was much easier to parse, as the only gaps were between the end of the friends in a world, and the start of the next world.

I don’t understand why the world isn’t secondary information if it’s a list of people. 🤔 it says “friends” not “locations” at the top.
This is totally confusing to skim. And the OP is right. The cognitive load is high. Especially with the introduced visual noise of nameplate art.
EDIT: if this changes based on sort type. Then my comment about the primary info makes no sense. But the readability could still be improved, as this canny suggests.
