[1878] New nameplates should have the earmuff mode icon for users with earmuff mode enabled
EksCelle
According to another canny post, the new nameplates have had the earmuff mode icon functionality intentionally left out of the redesign. This is a baffling decision to me as I think it's important to know if a user you're interacting with has earmuff mode enabled or not, just as important as it is to know if they have you muted or themselves deafened or not. I think this feature should be added back into the new nameplates.

Seeing an earmuff mode icon is a visual cue that I need to be close to the person to be heard.
The alternative to actually seeing this is just literally standing on top of every single person you want to talk to in order to make sure you are heard, which is not a better experience for the person talking or the person who has earmuffs mode.

feels strongly about this
Fix it!
Stop removing accessibility features!!!
Alpha․Monster
Its very important to know if someone has earmuffs on? Thats crazy that they intentionally removed it
PDB
Alpha․Monster yes it is, imagine approaching someone, talking to them and then finding out that they could not hear you, this could lead to drama and it will be harder to moderate instances
MondoCat
PDB Imagine those people who wont directly talk to you but will say something 6ft away expecting you to respond, but you dont, so they get pissed off and come yell at you.
OR alternatively:
> Be me
> Shy af
> Might say something quietly
> Ignored (due to earmuffs)
> Be sad and leave, ruining friendships
