I feel that 99% of the time you open your quick menu to select someone, it's to show an avatar or send a friend request. The new UI currently shoves all of those user actions into a dropdown menu off the screen when you initially open the menu. This means you have to scroll down every single time, which seems like a small action, but in VR, it can compound with the amount of time people spend in VRChat very quickly.
Here is a proposed revision to the UI to reduce the amount of wasted space while retaining the information presented in the new UI layout and also allowing the first two rows of the buttons to be easily accessed.
It's important to display information about someone to a user, but you shouldn't be adding in more friction to an action that people can perform hundreds of times when in VR.
