[1878] Improve nameplate layout (with concept)

This new nameplate has way too much empty space and fits a lot of information in the wrong places.
I tried redesigning it, almost sticking with the same insistence on a single capsule for profile effects but separating information better.
I know this isn't perfect; go discuss below!

Some of this direction has already landed in the nameplate spacing and layout changes. We're still looking at the empty space and where information sits.

Even this reworked example that you are proposing looks really cluttered, it looks overall bad, the whole nameplate needs a full rework, or revert back to the old ones, like literally immediately before they rush it to live, as they do with everything without listening to us.
I have no words, really, who thought in the vrchat team that this was a good change? how did it EVEN made it to the beta, to be tested, when its such an awful design, omg...

I agree with Vid too. if the group name is going to cover the banner, just don't show it at all. Either put it back on top like the old nameplates or don't show it. It covers the entire point of the banners.

I think there should also be an option in the group to hide the group name in banners.

Perfect. user rank/age/avatar icons don’t get in the way, and the group banner is fully visible.
I think that the pronouns should stay to the right of the name. Stacked vertically like this makes it cramped and definitely hard to glance at from far away.
This also leaves perfect room for the mute/earmuff/platform icons right next to the ID icons!

ひょなb I feel that if the pronouns stay to the right, most pronouns will get truncated tho. Especially for those who may use pronouns for RP or DID/Plural folks, it might also lengthen the nameplate even longer.
Feels like we're tossing between a taller vs longer nameplate design here?

TrebleSketch In my opinion, all text squished together in one column makes it harder to glance at in a crowd, and requires more squinting. But I can understand your argument.
