[1623] Physbone behaving weirdly
tracked
恨 Max
I have used this avatar for a very long time, and nothing was wrong with it until the "Drone Update" officially came out. I have tried multiple versions of the avatar as well. I have also asked friends who use the same avatar to test it, and it was always breaking. However, some people can see the bones misbehaving and some see it normally. Not sure what the issue here exactly is, but it seems like animated physbones tend to break now.

This Last Update Broke My Avatars Physbones For PC & Quest [ Others Are Experiencing It Too ]
ΛSTRΛIOUS
Hi There!
So VRChat was updated yesterday,
"Fixes have been made to PhysBones to address jitter that was introduced in 2025.1.3.
- These changes affected many avatars, but were most noticeable on a few skirt setups as well as long flow bones like flow toys. These changes also address an underlying jitter issue that were present in older versions but only under high framerate situations, greater than 60fps.
- Please test your PhysBone creations and report any new or unfixed issues!"
I was on Monday night, where i was still experiencing the jitter issue to my avatar. Wasn't a huge deal to me, wanted it fixed but still.
I was not on Tuesday night, but I was on Wednesday/Yesterday.
When ever I turn side to side or move irregularly my clothes/hair PhysBones reset. I thought it was just me, until someone who purchased the avatar and previously posted pictures positively previously, also texted me via my ticket system. Saying they were having the same issue, and included a video which I linked. I also had my quest friends take a look at this issue to see if it was only PC sided, which it was not.
Neither of us have updated our avatars since the update to make this occur in unity. I included videos before the update with the jitter, and ones afterward that show the bug and effects. Any help would be great!
I was asked to create a bug report here, and also to include my PhysBone settings, so here you go!

Jitter on Physbones since patch released on 30th April
Crispyseaweed
After the latest round of changes to the Physbones, I'm getting some weird behaviour with my avatar's ears, they jitter in a timed pattern. It's not an animation or controller looping. It seems to be when a Gravity curve and the Gravity Falloff are used together. I've attached the settings I use and a video.

Someone on discord has told me to leave the avatar ID here so that the team can test it, i can make it public if needed.

[1626] PhysBone Erratic Behavior When Changing ParentConstraint Weight (Local Client Only)
#かなたん
I've encountered an issue where PhysBone components exhibit erratic movement exclusively in my local client when animating VRC ParentConstraint Weight from 0→1. Other players in the same instance observe normal behavior.
Issue Details:
- I'm using ParentConstraint to temporarily change a hood's bone parent from Head to Chest during an equip/unequip animation
- When the animation transitions the Weight value from 0 to 1, the PhysBone components attached to the hood violently distort on my local client
- This behavior is completely invisible to other players in the same instance, who see the expected smooth transition
- The issue persists across multiple client builds, including the most recent update

PhysBone bug after version 2025.2.1 update
た つ よ
A bug occurred where the costume (coat) trembles during crouching motion (kneeling)
Also, the hem of the costume now stretches slightly in a circle as if defying gravity
There were no issues with previous versions until 2025/4/30, and an issue occurred after updating from Steam on the morning of 5/1
I want you to go back to the previous version because of the bug update
#かなたん
I was advised by anatawa12-san that it might be a head chop issue, so I implemented it and it worked fine!
It seems that there was a lack of consideration when transferring from Head to another bone with ParentConstraint.
This was my lack of study...

[1622] Phys bones are unintentionally shaking / moving
Ronsterwars
The Phys Bones for my glasses and Flower are broken. The are shaking when I'm moving even though they shouldn't.
Here is a video from in game and the settings of the phys bone script.
