Turning Gesture on and off from the Action Menu causes a broken finger, as shown in the video.
This may occur after switching between Hand Tracking and controller operations several times.

Does this still occur on the latest version of VRChat and SteamVR or Virtual Desktop/SteamLink/Quest Link?

VRChat Build 1502
SteamVR v2.7.4
Virtual Desktop v1.32.13
Quest Pro
I tried turning Gesture on and off in this environment to see if there were any problems.
The fingers no longer seem to bend in a way that exceeds the range of motion of a human.
I also tried turning Avatars Use Finger Tracking on and off with no problems.

meronmks / めろん: Thank you for confirming! I will close this ticket then.

Also with Vive controllers, disabling gestures uses the SteamVR skeleton finger data, instead of locking the gesture

Nicalay2: This is intentional behaviour, and how it worked for Index Controllers before too. You can disable this by unchecking "Avatars Use Fingertracking" in the Controls menu

A friend has this exact issue.
VD beta with Quest 2.

Does this behaviour change at all when you toggle "Avatars Use Finger Tracking" in the Main Menu Input Settings page?

I tested this with Build 1489.
When "Avatars Use Finger Tracking" is on, fingers can point in odd directions.
When it's off, there's no problem.

meronmks / めろん: Which version of Virtual Desktop are you using, both on your headset _and_ on your PC? Note that on the PC side you need to manually opt into that beta by downloading and installing the exe from the VD discord, just the beta app on your headset is not enough.

_tau_ I use the beta version of Virtual Desktop called "1.32.12" on both my headset and PC.

Does this still occur on the latest 1486 builds? If so, can you describe your hardware setup?
DrBlackRat
_tau_ To me this looks like the issues people had when using earlier versions of the VD Beta. In .11 or .12 this
should
no longer be an issue.Undertrash
_tau_ This still happens to me on Virtual Desktop beta 1.32.12 and VRC 1486, on Quest 2. I have forward tracking data and hand tracking support enabled in VD.
