[1442] Avatar preview in MM shows up tiny for some avatars
complete
lackofbindings
Seems to only affect some avatars. I'm not sure what causes it. Tried adjusting skinned mesh renderer bounding boxes but no change. Affected avatars don't have any far-away or especially large parts.
Here is a public avatar that is affected:
avtr_efc7e282-5900-4909-8440-ae27c721757e
This particular avatar has a long tail sticking out, but other of my (private) avatars show the same symptoms without that so I don't think that's related, and it had no issues in previous game versions.
This started happening after 1441 which "Improved scaling for the main menu avatar preview, especially for Impostors."

Hey, since 1441 the avatar preview pays more attention to the X and Z bounds of renderers. I looked at this avatar and it looks like something invisible or tiny is causing Unity to report the body's bounds as reaching further forward than you'd expect. I took a snapshot of the body mesh and added a box collider to visualize.
Are you hiding a prop with blend shapes or something along those lines?

Truce Ah ok so the bounds set on the renderer in unity aren’t actually taken into account. For this avatar the forward bounds are probably pushed out by the sword that is hidden via bone transforms. Is there any way I can display the bounds calculation you are using in unity so that I can troubleshoot other avatars?
Truce
lackofbindings: At the moment no, but we're discussing internally what we can do to make this easier to troubleshoot.

lackofbindings We've decided on a solution and plan to release it in a future beta.

I have another avatar that shows up even smaller than that in the preview, like comically small. But I can't share it as it is part of a commission.
