[1236] Change gesture lock icon to be similar to the live build
available in future release
Kilerbomb
I have bound gesture lock to a button on my index controller and use it very frequently. If you use index controllers, this is pretty much the only way to quickly and consistently do gestures.
With the new HUD, the gesture lock icon shows up as a nearly monotone icon in a notification box. It's almost impossible to discern whether it is on or off without looking directly at it because there is so little visual difference between the two states, plus the extra visual noise of the notification box.
In the live build, the "unlocked" state is bright green and "locked" state is grey/red, which makes it easy to see the current state of it purely from your peripheral vision. Please change the icon's appearance/behavior to be more similar to the live build.

Strasz - Community Team: Not exactly, yes you guys reverted back to an icon but we want the icon like in the live build where when unlocked it is green and locked it has a red cross. In the beta version, the icons are white and is still really hard to see and as a person who uses gesture toggle very often, I find it very frustrating. Please either make a toggleable option to change between the beta gesture toggle or the current live build or revert it back to how the live build is (green when unlocked and red cross when locked)
Also the size of the HUD element should be resizable. Please, thank you.

Strasz - Community Team: This is a good change, but it would be even better if you changed it back to green and red, because that way you don't have to directly look at the icon to see if its enabled or disabled, it's kinda a bother to have to look instead of having red/green colors that helps you to know without looking at the icon. Could this be an option in future versions please?

Strasz - Community Team: as others have mentioned, the change is a great improvement but the lack of easily seen color differentiation in one's peripheral vision, the live version remains superior

Strasz - Community Team: i want to be able to tell icons apart without looking directly at them, just like ok live. It's not fixed, still impossible to tell apart, 2 pixels of red line is not enough

Strasz - Community Team: Please revert the icon back to this or make an option to switch between them. I still find it hard to see the indicator and it is frustrating.

This is done, and should be in the beta!

Please add an option in settings to enable disable or use the old smaller icon for notifications when gestures are enabled and disabled. I find the full notification to be a lot more intrusive and preferred the old small icon or even being able to disable that specific notification outright

New UI Minimal Mode Gesture Lock Request
Oblivious
I would like to be able to see the gesture lock toggle icon in the "minimal" HUD mode. The gesture lock notification in "verbose" mode is super intrusive.
Attached is my suggestion in terms of placement.

the reversion to an icon is nice but as others have said it is still hard to tell the difference, the icons share a similar shape and largely the same color to signify two very different states.
i understand not wanting to use red and green if there is a colorblindness concern, but please some greater differentiation would be helpful

reverted to an icon but still pretty hard, could you guys revert it back to be like the live version when when gesture is unlocked, it is green and a red cross when locked

For someone who toggles it on and off extremely frequently, I can't tell you how much this is needed. A quick on/off icon would be easier to tell whats its toggling to as well, as with the new system I can't quickly as tell what I'm toggling it too.
