[1212] With EAC please unlock mirror resolution
complete
TehFicus
If you own a headset with a very high resolution (Pimax), mirrors look terrible due to the resolution limit on them. Previously mods could be used to fix this, but with EAC this will no longer work.

I was very happy to see "Mirror Resolution Changer" appear with an "Unlimited" mode in the options. It takes unlimited mode to handle the Pimax 8KX. Any other setting is blurry.
Unfortunately, it does not remember this setting the next time you launch VRChat. It remembers any other value you set it to (1/4x, 1/2x, etc), but not unlimited. Consequently, you have to manually set this again every time you launch VRChat including clicking through its silly warning dialog!
Please fix this bug in this new feature. And if it was done intentionally, please don't.
I created a new Canny entry for this issue here: https://feedback.vrchat.com/open-beta/p/mirror-resolution-changer-does-not-remember-unlimited

[1216] Portable Mirror - Add Resolution/Antialiasing Options
Kizzy
This is a feature request for the portable mirror to have an option to increase the mirror's resolution/antialiasing, as right now it's a bit blurry and jaggy and pixelated to look at. Which is good for optimization, but an option to set stuff higher would be nice when you're in an instance where you don't need that optimization tradeoff

Literally looks like a 144p youtube video on the G2, can't wait for this to get fixed.

mirror resolution should be up to 8k instead of current 2048x2048 pixels. There should also be a anti-alias can be adjust to up to 64x instead of current 8x.

i assume this is because vrc chat uses a texture and a camera for mirrors maybe something like a stencil buffer mirror might work better. like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P13DxpErHCw, might preform worse so a "true resolution" toggle might be good

Even with an Index at 220% resolution supersampling, It's abysmal as is in its current state. MirrorResolutionUnlimiter was more than nice.

People spent a lot of time looking at mirrors and the resolution of headsets is only going to go up. Mirrors should have the same render resolution as the game itself. It is very off putting seeing the blurry mess it currently is.

Getting the original resolution on my Index with a 3080Ti feels like a huge immersion downgrade.
