Since the recent regulatory changes in the EU (and similar pressures in Japan) AltStore PAL has been released as a fully Apple-allowed legitimate alternative app distribution platform.

AltStore PAL does NOT rely on sideloading or personal app signing, and a growing number of legit developers are now publishing their own official AltStore PAL sources. Epic Games themselves adopting this approach directly helped establish it as a legitimate, compliant distribution app~

I think it could be interesting for VRChat to consider this option as well. Maintaining an official AltStore PAL source appears fairly easy and straightforward, and it would give EU and Japan users another official, first-party way to install the app directly from VRChat!

With alternative app distribution becoming increasingly normalized under current regulations, this could be a good long-term fit~
