iOS disregards group announcement settings

I have disabled some groups announcements since they are somewhat... spammy. But these settings will not apply on iOS build since they still come thru. I do not get notifications in-game, not on VRC website nor VRCX.
Steps to reproduce:
- Mute group announcements
- Send announcement on said group (can be your own group, this happens with any and all groups)
- iOS gets notification about it, your in-game nor website does not.

I am not sure if anyone else is seeing this issue with notifications but I mute most group notifications because some spam and it can get annoying. I have been getting notifications lately on mobile to join groups that I have muted and even join groups I am not even a part of…
I keep getting these notifications I even found and joined the group just to mute it and leave and I am still getting notifications. Does anyone have a fix to this or has anyone else seen group notifications on mobile when you shouldn’t have any.

This is what is happening… I have never gone to this group prior nor do I have friends in this group it is also creepy this is showing up on my page as I do not want to hang out with minors. So having this “teen chill out” spam makes me want to just remove app notifications entirely —- update as of today 12/17/2025 I have blocked the group and I’m still getting requests to join this group instance

- Open the settings in the Group tab and turn off notifications. 2. You will receive notifications from the group. 3. If you are using the Steam version, you will not receive notifications. If you are using the iOS version, you will receive notifications. *Please note that the text may not be accurate due to translation.

I'm using iPhone 16 on iOS 18.1.1 (22B91)

StormRel iPhone1 Pro iOS 26.2 using latest version of VRC App on iOS and it has remain unchanged thru all updates since my original post, I even joined the group to mute the group and then left and blocked the group and still get invites.

Groups you've unsubscribed from posts still send push notifications

When unsubscribing from a group's posts/announcements in the group settings, you'll still receive push notifications from that group regardless.
