I understand banning and removing avatars with references to Hitler and the like, i understand the TOS so far.
but when the avatar of a grown woman, albiet short, with a string bikini. is taken out?
there is no hack of the avtar, this isn't an avatar that crashes. this is a grown woman, no nudity, just suggesitve. another avatar The "average anime girl" by bruce lee 117 WASN'T A GIRL it was a full grown woman avatar had comically large breasts... i can understand not wanting kids to see that. fantastic but there was no nudity.
there is another with Dio from JO JO reciting the song welcome to the c... zone. this is not an avatar that actually has anything indecent by law. no hate speech, just a song.
instead of gating these avatars. instead of just putting restrictions. some how they're labeled "Security Checks Failed".
something is strange. avatars that have been crashers are still up and about there's still hacks. but the idea that "Security Checks Failed" is the reason doesn't track.
Either someone reported the avatar correclty or incorrectly... and surely there's a way to update avatars automatically so even ones key to vr chat comedy and culture are still there.
even when i got in contact with someone to re upload the old avatar. it was gone in a week later. and "Security Checks Failed"... was the reason.
if that's the case, then how did it get uploaded at all? wouldn't security checks be done at upload time and a pre aproval process?
Something doesn't add up and i'm surprised VRchat is going beyond its tos and playing taste police or automatically scanning names. for problems.
is this because of recent developments and erosions of section 230? or some review that isn't... to me... sensible or equal. or sane or effective.
"Security Checks Failed" doesn't seem to be the reason for removal.
