WebP has become more used, and is supported by pretty much all web browsers ( https://caniuse.com/webp ) and operating systems.

They retain the same quality as a PNG, but are way smaller.

It would be great if WebP could be added as a option or primary use when it comes to reading and storing images.

When we get the ability to get external images with Udon, this too will have benefit of using WebP

The image that is attached is pictures from VRC in various sizes, mostly 4k and some 8k. 140 files in total.
