VR to Desktop Button

Have a feature that allows the user to go from VR to desktop with one button.
Perhaps if they still have VR active or just got VR running, they can toggle going into VR.

I wanted to Feature request a similar thing, for a long tome now i been wondering why this hasnt been implemented yet:
My Take on the feature is minimal:
If a user in vr pust down their headset (steamVR AFK), then let us Passtrough Mic toggle button (V) and an option to Spawn / Use the chatbox. so that while user might be out of headset for few minutes, making food or smthn, they already still are able to hear all audio and voices. but have no way to quickly open chatbox or change mic to whatever they have on desktop..
is this worth making a new request? i feel like all the other feature requests in this matter imply asking for full camera control -> switch to Desktop VRChat but what we really only need is jus a means to communicate when the headset is temporarily on the desk

You mean like hotswitching in Resonite? Resonite does something similar. This would only really work if they started in VR Mode because I don't think you can use SteamVR after you already launched VRC in desktop mode.

Kitto Dev It was done in menu within ChilloutVR. But it isn't part of the stable build.

it will still need to restart the game not sure if there is even any game that can do that without reloading or restarting but it would be cool

❤ BUBBLES ❤ If you wanna switch to save resources then you need to reload it (at least the way Vivecraft handles it)
but if you only goal is to have keyboard controlls while you eat your nachos that just got delivered. Then you can easily just grant acsses to the Deskstop GUI while the VR is still running.

I can see a use for reloading the avatar, and that is already done when enabling/disabling FBT

Left4Cake It is useful for when headset has low battery, and you want to continue the instance without leaving the game, and don't want to wait for headset to charge.

DragonTamerWes I didn't mean it wasn't useful, just not useful for saving resources specifically. As you'd likely still be running the VR asset's in the background while playing Desktop in this mode.
