Utility Items or an "Explorers Pack"
I returned to VRC earlier this year and have dipped my toes into avatar making solely because I needed certain things during my travels through the grid.
I said to my friends: "I need the HUD, Flight, light source, and a few other utility items, so I don't need to keep switching from the avatars I wanna use to a utility avatar."
(I found this adorable robot with everything, which was so cute, and I will never delete it, however...)
I think a "Explorer Pack" or "Utility Bundle" would be a worthwhile thing. It would come with:
- Cyber Goggles - Multi Visions

I obtained the IkeHUD specifically because it has a Wireframe vision for worlds that are too foggy (or have shaders that make it hard to see), Nightvision for worlds that are too dark, and an X-Ray to see people and objects through walls. It also has a Minimap that scans your environment and a compass at the top with a grid coordinate display.
I cannot express how useful this has been, both while exploring and also for moderating instances. With the ability to see people hiding in the walls, ceiling, vents, etc, and click on them at a distance, this is the single most useful tool to an admin I can recommend. It goes on every single one of my avatars.
- A Compass or Radar to point to or track your friends.
This is a lower-powered compesnation for the HUD idea. I cannot tell you how long you spend in a big world going "Where are you? I'm by the <thing>!" when you get separated. A nice HUD or tracker to show your friends' locations and distance would be super nice.
- Torch/Lantern/Flashlight you can hold to get a 20-30m visual of warm light.
Just a light source you can use reliably in dark worlds. I have built simple objects in Unity that house Spotlights and Omni Lights with soft particle systems to emulate these items.
One is a spotlight coming off my forehead to emulate a "mining helmet" style light so it's always in the direction I'm facing. Helpful for when I'm on Desktop and can't use my hands. I also have an "Omnilight" version that sheds light into a 50ft radius.
- Balloon/Umbrella/Jetpack/Hover Bike

I love exploring and walking around, but I cannot deny that almost every single world has that moment where you go, "Okay, I need to get up there," or "I need a better look around," and you just need to defy gravity and fly. Being able to fly (and fly at high speeds) is essential to exploring bigger worlds and navigating around. Or worse yet, you get stuck. Then have to respawn, then run allllll the waaaaay baaaaaaack.
Honestly, this is a standard movement feature in other social games like Second Life and needs to make its way to VRChat ASAP.
- Piggy Back Seat/Carry System/Leash/Harness
So your friends can literally hop on your shoulders. When exploring with friends and one of them needs to go AFK or is busy in any capacity, it can bring the entire group to a halt until they come back. To compensate for this, I have installed probably somewhere between 8-10 seats on my avatar. One on each shoulder, thigh, chest, head, piggyback, and each hand.
Not only do they make for super fun and adorable pictures (being able to literally hold my friends in my hands), but when someone gets stuck or has to go AFK, they can literally sit on my shoulders (or tail!) and continue to ride along with the group. In some cases, I've had 5+ people just sitting on me as tiny accessories as we scoot around places.
- Laser Pointer
I have both a finger laser and a head laser for when I am on desktop, which projects a 200m long, extremely thin, light that ends with a tiny dot. It's useful to point at things at a distance... or mess with furries who have cat endencies. Honestly, it's not a major necessity, but there is just something weirdly satisfying to watch a group of cat people chase a red dot around a world for 20m with no rhyme or reason. Just pure fun and free serotonin.
- Pen
You already added this one with the new pack, which inspired me to make this list, but can we get some more colors...?
Thats all for now. I install all of these things on every single one of my personal avatars to make exploring, moderating, and QoL changes to my VRChat Experience.
I will continue to do so as I have learned enough about Unity and Avatar creation to do so; but a fair bit of users (especially questies) just do not have the means or knowledge to get all these utilities and are forced to wander out and find free or public avatars with some, only to see them get taken down, privated, or removed. Or they don't want to pay for an asset that /might/ work. It's a scary world out there on the internet...
ANYWAY. Those are my suggestions!
