Use community-powered localization instead auto-translation

Support for interface localization is essential to getting more people involved, and I am glad to see it being implemented.
However, I'm deeply concerned about the initial localization in the Developer Update of February 9, 2023, which uses auto-translation, even though it's in the early stages.
For example, a software company's documentation is actively using auto-translation, but suffers from quality issues in the Japanese language such as reversed meanings, sentences that do not make sense, and translation of parts that should not be translated.
As a result, we have a situation where the official documentation is the least reliable, which should never happen.
There are many similar problems in the country, so it is conceivable that there will be a very small minority of users who will accept it as "fun" like Developer Update.
Therefore, the community-powered localization, that is currently planned, should be given the highest priority, and localization using auto-translation should be avoided as much as possible.

However, in the Developer Update on 2023/2/9, I am deeply concerned that initial localization was carried out using automatic translation, albeit in the early stages.

I certainly understand that. However, as noted in the text, there are problems with auto-translation that cause quality issues.
In Japan, fiction about the virtual is very popular. But real judgment about the virtual is often cold or prejudiced.
In addition, spam using auto-translation is widespread in Japan, and "auto-translated text" alone could be viewed negatively.
As a result, it could have a detrimental effect on VRChat's reputation in Japan, or worse, for virtual space.
In more than a few cases, Japanese people suddenly acknowledge the existence of the Japanese language or overturn their evaluation of it once it is implemented.
Introducing auto-translation under such circumstances is very risky for the reasons mentioned above, and not something I can unhesitatingly endorse.
