Upload World/Avatar Tags Contributing to Misconceptions
X3417
Users new to VRChat often believe the misconception that NSFW is allowed under certain circumstances. Usually the explanation is either
1.) That NSFW is okay as long as it is marked on upload
or that
2.) It is okay in Private Instances only. Obviously, neither is true. It would do no harm to delete the UI buttons from the Canvas on upload. It would help a tiny bit to clear up misconceptions. Unless there is some other crucial element as to why this is still included in the VRCSDK, this should be done...it LITERALLYY takes me like 10 seconds. I have a video of me doing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm96ZhG9sY0
The existing "content_sex" (the tag that deals with NSFW) tag needs to be completely removed from the API (or whatever thingy deals wit that). If anyone were to search worlds w "tag:content_sex" on the VRChat website, it lists every world with that tag. Those worlds that list upon search did make it past labs, but some are very sussssy if you know what I mean. It just gives rulebreakers another avenue to network. Feeds the misconception bleh/.

I'm not sure what misconception you are talking about, the community guidelines clearly state that nsfw behavior is not permitted in "public" instances.
Which implies that the opposite statement is also true.

Kyrah Abattoir: VRC TOS, Section 12, part d states: "post, upload, or distribute any User Content or other content that is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, inaccurate, or that a reasonable person could deem to be objectionable, profane, indecent, pornographic, harassing, threatening, embarrassing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate;"
Keyword to pay attention to is 'pornographic', which NSFW does fall under. What you could argue is that the behavior itself does not qualify as content, and therefore isn't against the rules, but the avatars/worlds themselves are. The thing is these tags are specifically for uploaded content, and having tags for something that isn't allowed anymore does not make any sense.
