Trust level Public Instances
Matthew, Neko
I think it would be a great idea to implement something with the trust system to be able to make public world instances where you can set it so only user with the allowed trust levels can join. There are way to many users ranging from visitor-user trust levels that just don't care about the game and join worlds to troll people and if this was implemented it would limit the amount of stupidity people have to go through.

Not a good idea to divide people by ranks in a social game.
public is public anyone can join so it should remain like that.
make a friend only or + to avoid that issue.

SAADHERO: But then like you said its a social game, how are you suppose to meet new people that way?
SAADHERO
Matthew, Neko: Friends+ that is used if you want to play with your friends only as in a long game world the rest should be public.

I think that's an awful, terrible idea.
The safety system is in place to give the user control over how they see avatar features, it should never ever be used as a "social credit score" and stop other people from joining public instances.
You can simply turn off player voice and avatar on visitors and you'll have your problem solved of not having to interact with them. Worst case you'll have to block if they keep getting in your face.

Zarniwoop: But simply blocking them wont stop them from joining karaoke/movie/anime/music worlds and trolling. most of the player base is always in private worlds because of random toxic visitor level users that don't care about the game at all. its already a quote "social credit score" if your using it to completely block them out anyways with the "you can simply turn off player voice and avatar on visitors and you'll have your problem solved of not having to interact with them." I don't see why the idea is terrible. It should just be an option just like "friend/Friends+/invite only" are. not all public lobbies would be like this.

Matthew, Neko: The whole premise for this suggestion is that new people are always horrible and don't want genuine interactions, I think that's a dangerous mindset that only will only result in users having even more trouble integrating into the community than they already do and in the long run make VRchat more miserable for everyone playing.
The trust rank should only be used to personalize your own individual experience, not to be used as a means to "prove your worth" in any matter in terms of game functionality. What trust rank you have means nothing how you are as a person (With the exception of nuisance rank, of course...) A trusted user can be just as toxic, if not worse, than a visitor. You really don't know unless you actually talk with them so you should treat everyone as a individual. Not by their rank.
From what I can gather you're actually just looking for a more curated way of meeting strangers that most likely won't be a complete dickhead, and there are many better suggestions for that without having to lock people out, like,
Being able to join and enter player group instances, which would be moderated by the group themselves, or being able to organize and join event instances from a in-game list. I think would do a much better job at filtering out trolls, as the organizers can just kick them if it becomes a problem.
