With the new SDK incoming that allows uploading your own custom thumbnails more easily, and since avatar thumbnails are displayed in various aspect ratios across the UI (and as a result, are often cropped badly), I'd like to see one of two things. Either a unified Thumbnail across the UI (previously noted as being more complicated than it seems) or perhaps a sort of visual guide in the SDK Thumbnail upload process that shows the various aspect ratios and where the image will be cropped, allowing us to compensate and center the thumbnail in a way that will not get cut off in the wrong places.
