This might be relevant again, now that we have PC hand tracking in the open beta. OTOH maybe it could be done with a SteamVR plugin somehow now?

The hand tracking SDK for Vive headsets comes with a package for Unity supposedly. I hope this will be considered by the VRChat team as it shouldn't be that big of a hassle to implement.

Hey all. Adding hand tracking via this sdk will allow users to use their wands for other things like body tracking.
A little birdy told me that this code will be useful later on, when (redacted) comes out.

Kreic: Oh yes please! I will buy an upgrade for my headset as soon as the game supports real eye tracking. It doesn't sound like much but it has a big impact.

It would also be great if we could get it to hotswap for those of us why want to use both. Just let your controllers dangle from the straps or set them down and use hand tracking :)
