Show if an User is emitting Avatar Sound
「Jаy」
I'm sure a lot of us who in here deals with this issue and it's very annoying to track quickly or find out who's avatar is emitting global audio sound or other audio sounds.
It would be a nice addition to VRC itself, as well as moderation to have a way to find out which users are emitting Avatar Sounds or Global Audio sounds and not having to turn/off every avatar in an instance which can be quite tedious and time consuming.
Excuse my Microsoft paint Drawing skill, but it would be nice to have it in the 'Instance' Tab, as that's where I and I think most of us look for people talking/playing audio to disrupt other issues, especially when they're hiding in meshes. The blue (Which we already have) shows Voice being transmitted, the red on the right would indicate if an user is emitting Avatar Audio the left when Voice is transmitted.

Yes please. This is such a problem in huge publics that I've just muted avatar audio entirely and never looked back. It's so frustrating having to go into the Instance tab and disable their avatar one by one until you figure out the correct one. Just show me who's making audio and an easy mute button please.

I would also like to have an option to show gizmos for avatar audio when opening the Quick Menu. That way, I can identify where the sounds are on the avatar, and which avatar in specific is playing a particular sound, hiding them accordingly

A feature that keeps track of avatar audio and auto mutes it if the avatar is a certain radius away or the audio goes on longer than ~5 seconds would also be nice. I like leaving avatar audio on but I don't wanna hear the full soundtrack of your million poly JoJo's Bizarre Adventure avatar.
While we're at it, avatars should NEVER be able to hijack a player's view unless the avatar doing that to you is the one you're wearing (e.g. an avatar with a HUD). I think we can all agree on that and the only avatars I've seen use that are obnoxious memes that zoom your screen in on the meme avatar and whatnot, which is very very very disorientating in VR but happens in public lobbies to new and experienced users alike all the time.

Ericbazinga As long as people can write custom shaders, preventing full screen effects is kind of impossible - at least without severely harming shader capabilities.
There are also legitimate cool use cases for them, such as grenade blast waves that distort the environment, or trippy effects that kick in after you eat a candy from someone's avatar.

Ericbazinga Community Guidelines prohibit disrupting public instances with provocative behavior.
Creator Guidelines says "Content should not be built or used to disrupt any experience or usage of VRChat.", including "full-screen shaders, full-world audio, excessively large character models, visually disruptive animations, etc", with the caveat that "Exceptions to this category may be made if all users present consent, like for a show or performance."
You can request moderation on bad actors by reporting them. There's also tools at disposal, such as custom Safety Shield settings. Whether that will solve VRChat's optics for new user experience/onboarding or not is debatable, but also off-topic for this issue.
