Currently, EAC blocks VRChat access on Cloud-based PC services, Macs, VPNs, older but otherwise possibly capable hardware and pretty much anything involving a Virtual Machine. This scope has only expanded over time, reducing the ways that players can access VRChat, and this seems like the opposite of what any platform would want. Surely, there are better systems for securing what needs to be secured here without eliminating access options. Especially with current conditions making the singular EAC-allowed PC option more expensive. Even though it’s just anecdote, most of the people I know that aren’t on VRChat but know about it gave up because they cant run it on their Mac or a Virtual/Cloud PC. It’s such a common occurrence that if someone is in the same social circles as VRC users, you can pretty much guess why they themselves are not. It’s always EAC having taken their options away.
