Being able to do this by sending camera video (not re-rendering the caller’s world on the callee’s side) would be game-changing for allowing mobile users to have access to much larger worlds through their friends “bringing them along” on a call while exploring. Not only does this provide a way to keep cross platform groups together as they move from world-to-world, it also reduces barriers to participation without limiting content quality or scope. This would enhance and encourage social exploration, especially for very large or complex worlds, which is one of the things that sets VRChat above from other platforms.

Having a phone that lets you message and call friends without them being in the same world would be awesome, and maybe world creators can choose if they let the phone work or not for like games. Would also be a great way to handle your gallery for pictures and to send them to friends.

Or have a chat feature like resonate. One where you can already send files, images, texts, and voice recordings. Even invites.

idk if this is even technically possible/worth the effort of making, but i love the idea of having a phone app to call my friends inside of vr from outside of vr while im out and about also with the option of videocalling.

that would be cool having a group call as well

I see this as a win win for quest users and pc players

Voice call too so you know what world can you contact your friend

This is something that needs to happen it’s been almost 4 years since this was here and make it for both platforms
