Optional Pronouns under name
I know so many trans people who would love VRChat, but are afraid of constantly getting misgendered by strangers. I used to put my pronouns in my Steam name so they would show in-game, but those who use VRChat accounts can't do that (instead having to have unique one-per-player usernames that can only change once every three months)
Plenty of trans people already talk about transphobic the VRChat community can be, so I feel like adding this as an option (nobody should be forced to display their pronouns) would go a long way to help trans people feel safer and more respected in a game that should be as fun for us as it is everybody else.

This would be a great addition! Many people put their pronouns in their bio only for them to not always get read, and not everyone is willing to sacrifice space in their status to display their pronouns.
In a deeply social environment with such a large queer population as VRChat, especially where many of those people come to feel welcome and have their identity treated with compassion, I feel like it only makes sense to have a dedicated pronoun badge under your nameplate like ForeverAndaDay mentioned to make sure people are instantly referred to in the way they feel comfortable at a glance.
This makes even more sense when you consider that VRChat's avatar culture incentivizes exploration of gender identity and it's not always clear how someone wants to be referred as. Having a pronoun badge would help mitigate this confusion significantly and I strongly believe it would make a lot of trans VRChat users, queer people in general, and even everyone else, just a touch more comfortable meeting new people :]
Making social interactions stronger through things only possible in VR is exactly what VRChat is about, and this is a perfect example of that. People shouldn't have to experience the discomfort of being misgendered if they don't need to be, considering we're in a virtual environment. I really hope this is considered for a future release :]

I misgender all the time, but I don't really care since for me gender not relevant for most convo I have.
They announced on the Dev stream last week what foreversandaday ask. A sub text below your name. Not a fan of more text in my view, but as the icon/name. You can toggle it on the fly.

hell, let people put lil tags below their name, similar to the quest badge (or even put status on a badge). A few of my trans friends put their pronouns in their status, but ppl misgender them bc not many people check people's status before talking to/about them.
