Many worlds in VRChat use Postprocessing to add flair and color correction. This looks great, but when using VR on lower end hardware an otherwise perfectly performant and framerate steady world can be utterly crushed into unusable and nauseatingly low framerates.
The ability to simply turn off the in-world postproccessing automatically would make the platform physically safer to use.
Sure, it is convention for world-makers to include in-world toggles for this: but even with this convention many users I talk too have to struggle with nauseatingly low framerates until they find the toggle in each world
if it even exists at all
.
I've spoken with a handful users who had to resort to the use a mod to disable postprocessing in order to make the game consistently run at safe-to-use framerates.
