Option to decouple HMD rotation from movement direction to reduce VR sickness

Description:
I am writing to request a feature that would significantly improve comfort for users prone to VR sickness (motion sickness) in VRChat.
Currently, the direction of movement (e.g., when using smooth locomotion via a thumbstick) is directly tied to the HMD's (Head-Mounted Display) current rotation. This forces the user's direction of travel to change with every head movement, which can lead to a disconnect between the user's balance/vestibular system and their visual input, commonly causing VR sickness.
Proposed Feature:
Please introduce a toggleable option in the settings (e.g., "Comfort & Safety" or "Controls" tab) to allow users to decouple the movement direction from HMD rotation.
When enabled (Comfort Mode): The movement direction would be locked to a fixed orientation (e.g., the direction the user was facing when they started moving, or aligned with the controller's stick direction), regardless of subsequent head movements.
When disabled (Current Behavior): The current system remains as the default for those who prefer it.
Benefits:
Reduced VR Sickness: This is a standard comfort feature in many modern VR games and applications and is highly effective at minimizing motion sickness.
Increased Accessibility: It would allow more people to enjoy VRChat for longer periods, expanding the user base.
Better User Experience: Improved comfort leads to greater user retention and satisfaction.
Thank you for considering this important accessibility feature.
