There is no reason to keep the nameplates the same size as you get closer. The nameplates should be shrank from 100% to 30% at close proximity.

It just makes sense to do this. It will make the game look cleaner and VR and Desktop users to see clearer.

Some people you can't even see because of the nameplates like small avatars etc..
